About the President of Ram Contracting

Born in Oklahoma City in 1963, Charles James spent much of his free time at the side of his father learning to use tools and fix all sorts of things. Charles discovered that he liked working with his hands and that he enjoyed making things “like new” or better than new. He loved creating and building and afterward seeing the pleasure it brought to others. 

After graduating high school in the Putnam City School District, it was no surprise to anyone who knew him well that Charles elected to spend his adult life building, remodeling, repairing, improving and maintaining commercial and residential properties. He worked in management and supervisory positions for other companies for decades, but was often asked why, with his wealth of knowledge and skills, did he not start his own company.

Charles’s mom was one of his most vocal cheerleaders, offering encouragement at every opportunity and prodding him to establish his own company. She had seen her son’s work up close. After all, he was the only one who had ever done major work for her and didn’t receive one of her famous punch lists upon completion of the work.

Charles moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, to care for his mom in her final years. Later, after her passing, Charles founded Ram Contracting LLC in January 2019. We know his mom is smiling down from above.
